The elaboration of such an exotic hypothesis dates back to 2007, with an important technical paper published by Tsytovich et al. on the New Journal of Physics, where after doing numerical simulations they found that under certain conditions plasma – in form of so called “plasma crystals” – can behave like DNA.
Since 2007 I have considered this well-founded hypothesis too, in order to try to interpret the strange behaviour of Hessdalen-like lights. I have prepared several experiments to prove or disprove such a possibility: only money funding for this research is still missing.
I believe that all this is extremely important. We need a truly complete picture on how the mechanism of Life develops in the Universe. Maybe Life is not limited only to Carbon based (or even Silicon based) forms. Much further research work must be carried out yet, anyway.
We are just at the beginning.
